"Jungle at home for everyone"

Here comes the Prato Urban Jungle kit to create a green corner



In May, the Prato Urban Jungle project enters the heart of green initiatives thanks to the collaboration with the Italian Nurseries Association and the AMI Foundation with the creation of "Jungle at home for everyone" kits, to allow anyone who wishes to create a corner green in your apartment, office or garden and discover the beneficial properties of plants thanks to dedicated information and videos and thus concretely contribute to the reduction of CO2 in the atmosphere.

The gardening kit is based on some essential elements: sustainability, circularity and value relationships on the territory. Each element in the kit comes from companies active in the nursery district that invest in sustainability paths, technologies for process innovation and reduction of environmental impact.

The KIT includes:
• Cardboard box with characteristics designed to support the weight of the products provided with handling for transport
• 4 young plants (Nandina, Pittosporo, Honeysuckle, Rincospermo) grown in a special pot made by molding, compressing, "cooking" a mixture of vegetable fiber and cellulose, blonde peat and water, chemical-free and totally biodegradable. It allows easy rooting, harmonious and compact growth and no environmental problems related to the disposal of plastic
• 10 liters of Tor-free_21 soil from a circular economy system that recovers and reuses the substrate of plants that are no longer viable
• 500 g of organic fertilizer to be used during the planting phase
• 4.5 liters of natural mulch, wood chips produced from silver fir trunks to be used to prevent the growth of weeds, high water retention content, limits evaporation at high temperatures

With the purchase you will receive the link to the video tutorial created by the Prato Urban Jungle project in collaboration with the Italian Nursery Association.
The proceeds from the donations of the kit will be used by the AMI Prato Foundation to finance the setting up of a garden dedicated to children and families who attend the pediatric emergency room of the New Hospital of Prato S. Stefano.
The “Jungle at home for everyone” kit can be purchased at a cost of 25 euros on the website of the AMI Prato Foundation in the online shop section and on the green online outlet.
The KIT can be collected at the headquarters of the AMI Foundation at the S. Stefano di Prato Hospital in via Suor Niccolina Infermiera, 20 - 59100 Prato (PO), from Monday to Friday from 9 to 15.
